Welcome

In the year 2000, with the publication of the CONAMA 257 RESOLUTION, which orients companies to dispose of acid lead batteries in an environmentally adequate manner at the end of their battery life, we were confronted with the need to create a program in the market that adopted a posture of collecting these batteries within environmental standards. Thus, we developed procedures to help companies adequate themselves to the disposal of this residue according to the present resolution.

This fact, which was initially viewed as a new obligation for those companies, broadened our horizons and gave us an opportunity to reduce the need of importing into the country this secondary raw material, besides stimulating battery recycling, bettering, in this way, our internal efficiency and producing new business.

While closely analyzing company behavior we discovered the practice of these battery sales without a specific environmental worry criteria. Our challenge was to contemplate, in the sphere of this program, company conscience regarding the damages that inadequately disposed batteries cause to the environment, besides the penalties to which these companies would be subjected.

With these premises, the SERP - Shared Environmental Responsibility Program was idealized.

We believe that the SERP success is due to, firstly, the fact that it guarantees the environment preservation, by generating environmental boundaries for the company , besides working as a facilitator seeing as, in many instances, the company does not know the correct procedures to correctly discard the product. The numbers obtained, since the program implantation in 2001, demonstrate that we are walking in the right direction.
After its consolidation regarding the disposal of acid lead batteries, we understood that the Shared Environmental Responsibility Program could be applied in the environmentally adequate disposal of other residues. So , since January 2007 , the SERP is also widely used to help companies develop new shares reverse logistics of their products at the end of life as well as the disposal of their waste. Thus meeting all the prerequisites of Law 12.305/2010 - PNR - National Policy on Solid Waste.
